The land of Lost Animals is a magical world where Zoe the Zebracorn and her animal friends live, play, explore and join together on missions to save other orphaned and endangered animals. This special world is full of lovable, adorable creatures who can’t want to join in your adventures!
Zoe the Zebracorn is the leader of the Land of Lost Animals. Sweet and lovable, Zoe believes she’s the last of the endangered zebracorns who lived in a faraway land that was destroyed when Zoe was just a tiny girl. Her parents, believing she had special magical powers that could bring back the zebracorns and save all kinds of other endangered animals, sent her to the Land of Lost Animals on a special parachute with a bundle of letters to remind her how much they love her and how special her mission is. Sweet and lovable, Zoe upholds a promise to her parents to always use her powers for good. Despite her magical and important pedigree, Zoe really is the “zebracorn next door.” Her favorite color is purple. She loves cotton candy, picnics, and roller skating. The most important thing to Zoe is friendship...which is why the Lost Animals she uses her special powers to rescue are her most precious treasures in the world.
Bowie the Polar Bear is one super cool Arctic bear. A born adventurer and a little bit of a daredevil, Bowie loves rock music, cherry smoothies and paragliding high in the sky above the Land of Lost Animals. She’s the head explorer on all of Zoe’s rescue expeditions and loves camping—and making s’mores!—with her animal friends.
Milo the Monkey lives in a treehouse with his best friend Kai and loves to spend his days swinging from tree top to tree top. He’s energetic and kind and loves to give “monkey hugs” (arms and legs included!) to all his Lost Animal friends. He’s never without his ukelele, writing and performing his own songs to anyone who will listen.
Stella the Elephant is an artist who loves to spend her days painting, sketching and drawing portraits of all her Lost Animal friends. She also has the magical power of being able to read the stars and see glimpses of the future. She’s Zoe’s most trusted advisor and helps her.
Hippy the Hippo is the land’s scholar. She loves to learn and teaches her friends everything she knows. Whether it’s ABCs and 123s or figuring out how to build a magic rocket ship to reach the stars, Hippy can figure it out!
Ruff Ruff the Dog is loyal and true. He’s always exactly where he needs to be to lend a helping hand. His doghouse is right in the middle of everything, and he loves to have his animal friends over to play. Ruff Ruff plays Ultimate Frisbee like a champion and loves peanut butter, the Beatles and the color blue.
Bells the Bunny is Zoe’s sidekick and best friend. Zoe first discovered her magical hearing powers when she heard Bells’ voice in a dream telling Zoe she was lost and needed help. The next morning, Zoe searched the land until she found the hollow tree that she had seen in her dream. There, curled up inside, hungry, cold and lost, was Bells. They became best friends immediately (even though sometimes they drive each other a little bit crazy!) Bells has lots and lots of energy. She never stops talking, talks a mile a minute, and is adorable and clumsy, often hopping into stuff. Her favorite food is carrot muffins, her favorite color is orange, and she likes to ride a pogo stick for extra bounce.
Rosie the Panda Bear is the warm, nurturing “mama bear” of the Land of Lost Animals. Always ready with a hug and a smile, Rosie has a kind word for everyone and likes to make sure everyone feels included. Rosie bakes amazing chocolate chip cookies and loves gardening and sipping green tea with a good book.
Scarlet the Cat is feisty and outspoken. Zoe found her floating in the ocean on a piece of driftwood, unable to remember anything about her past. Scarlet often dreams of where she might have come from, but knows she’s destined for stardom someday. She loves designing her own accessories and putting on fashion shows for her friends. Her favorite color is sparkly gold, and she’s known throughout the land for throwing the best dance parties ever.
Hoppy the Kangaroo is an awesome athlete. She’s happiest running, hopping and organizing races and games for the Lost Animals. Hoppy almost never sits still (she even hops in her sleep!) but is always willing to take time for a tea party with her best friend . She loves the color red, fresh squeezed orange juice, and sleeps with a stuffed football named Tuffy.
Kai the Koala Bear lives high above the castle in a four story treehouse with his best friend, Milo the Monkey. When he’s not lounging in his hammock in the sky, he’s riding the waves on his trusty surfboard and eating his favorite Vegemite sandwiches.
Stripes the Tiger is the life of the party in the Land of Lost Animals. He loves jokes, pranks, and anything that makes people laugh. But one thing Stripes doesn’t ever laugh about it is his role as Zoe’s bodyguard and protector. When he was a small boy, Stripes’ parents heard that the last of the mythical zebracorns was living in a far off land. They knew they needed to send their only son to protect her and keep her safe so she could rescue her species and use her powers to save other lost animals. Wherever Zoe goes, Stripes is never far away—and even when he’s hiding, you can usually spot him by the flicking of his long orange and black tail. Stripes is a ping-pong champion who loves French fries and knock-knock jokes. His favorite holiday is April Fool’s Day.
Louie the Manatee is the oldest and wisest member of the Land of Lost Animals. Zoe heard his sad rumblings in a dream about the deepest part of the ocean, and the very next morning she and Bells ventured out on a tugboat to find him. Louie quickly became one of Zoe’s most trusted advisors. He is gentle and sometimes shy, preferring to splash in the calm waters outside the land's walls than to join in the land’s parties and games. Still, he always has time to lend a listening ear to his beloved Lost Animal friends and gives the best advice in the land. He can blow magic bubbles that smell like lemonade and make people happy even when they’re feeling sad. Louie loves sardines, long walks on the beach, and games of solitaire.
Zippy the Sloth is faster than he looks. The land's official messenger, he arrived via special delivery to the Land of Lost Animals after Zoe dreamed a very special package was on its way. Zippy talks slow but thinks fast, and loves to be the first person to share news. He reads newspapers from all over the world and is a crossword puzzle rock star. He spends much of his days sleeping upside down outside Zoe’s bedroom, only waking to eat his favorite peanut butter and celery sandwiches and to check his special magic news radio that tells him about everything important that’s happening in lands near and far. When there’s news to share and his own feet don’t carry him fast enough, Zippy travels by scooter - with a helmet, of course.
Walter the Turtle is a skateboarding addict. He spends his days in the land's half pipe that Zoe built just for him. Walter loves grilled cheese sandwiches and Choose Your Own Adventure books, and is always looking for new ways to make his skateboard fly.
Noah the Giraffe is a gentle soul. The youngest of the Lost Animal crew, he loves tagging along on everyone’s adventures. Zoe has a soft spot in her heart for little Noah and makes him feel important by giving him jobs around the castle. His favorite things in the world are blueberry Popsicles, riding his bike around the land, and the little red race car he carries with him everywhere.
